The Perfect Pitch

Following a global contest, four concepts have been selected to be part of The Perfect Pitch. Listen and learn as entrepreneurs pitch their fast casual concepts. The pitchers will address not only the Summit’s attendees but also a panel of advisers who will give them advice about how to grow their concepts.

It’s our “nicer” version of “Shark Tank,” which means it’s all about helping small but innovative concepts get off the ground. The audience members will vote on their favorite pitch, and the winner will receive bragging rights (of course) and a $3,500 prize!

Chad Cohen | Principal, Strategic Operations Group | CapitalSpring

Chad Cohen is a Principal in the Strategic Operations Group at CapitalSpring, a private investment firm focused exclusively on the branded restaurant and food service industries. He is responsible for investment diligence and portfolio management. Currently, he is CEO for Buddy’s Pizza, an iconic pizza chain and the creators of Detroit Style Pizza. Chad has decades of experience in the restaurant industry as a franchisee, operator and executive at several national and regional brands. Since its founding, CapitalSpring has invested approximately $1.8 billion and supported management teams across more than 200 investments in over 60 restaurant brands.

Chad Coulter dove into the restaurant industry after a short and successful career as a clinical pharmacist. His first concept, LouVino, was a Southern inspired small plates restaurant and wine bar with over 40 wines by the glass. After the fifth LouVino opened, focus shifted towards diving into the idea of opening a biscuit focused concept. In 2019, the first Biscuit Belly was born after months of meticulous menu, branding and concept development. Biscuit Belly now has 4 corporate locations and over 20 franchised units in development in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

Zack Oates | Founder & CEO | Ovation

Zack Oates is an author, husband, father, entrepreneur, and hot tub aficionado (but not in that order, necessarily). He grew up in restaurants before getting into startups. He was voted Top 100 Entrepreneurs, rang the NASDAQ bell, won the world’s biggest business competition, been to 50 countries, and started 3 companies. He went on over 1,000 dates before he got married and wrote a book, Dating Never Works…Until it Does. He currently is Founder and CEO of Ovation, the #1 restaurant feedback platform in America.
